Meaghan Dorman
Meaghan Dorman is currently the head bartender of New York City’s Raines Law Room, where she has worked since its January 2009 opening. At Raines Law Room, Meaghan trained under the opening menu of Michael McIlroy of Milk & Honey and took over the head bartender position of August 2009. Meaghan is proud to be a founding member of the New York City chapter of LUPEC, which plans to enhance the community of local women in the bar/spirits industry through charity work, education and events. She was a 2009 Tales of the Cocktail Apprentice as well as a presenter at the 2010 Manhattan Cocktail Classic.
Meaghan has been bartending since her college days in New Haven, Connecticut. Moving to New York City post-graduation for several stints in the entertainment/media world, she continued bartending at several Harlem establishments. Researching classic cocktails for a writing assignment lead to a strong personal interest in the history of cocktails and bartending and propelled a commitment to becoming educated about spirits and working in bars with a commitment to quality and professionalism.
